I am Franklin Clayton Boyer II and I am the FFL, Co-Owner and Chief Firearms Instructor for Wetmore Shooting Sports but most importantly I am a Christian Lay Minister and a proud member of the San Antonio Police Department..

I started shooting at a tender age of 11 when my Uncle Roy took my brother and I out to shoot for the first time, where we went to the mountains in the Angles National Forest just north of Los Angeles California and have had the shooting bug since, in fact I have owned my first rifle at the age of 16 that I bought myself at a garage sale for $10 and still have it to this day, from there I went onto shotgun and handgun.

Since I have always been in a “trainer” mode in my professional career it just came natural that when someone needed help at a range I would step up to the plate and lend a hand, it didn’t matter if it was how to shoot or fix a problem with a firearm, for so many years my fellow shooters wanted to pay me for helping them, of course I never took a dime.

Finally, after so many years I decided to form Wetmore Shooting Sports, I did my homework found out to be credible I needed to be certified & licensed so I set on a path that has expanded to not only becoming a Certified NRA Instructor a Certified Texas Dept. of Public Safety Handgun Instructor and the list goes on from there to also include holding a Federal Firearms Licensee where I assist Law Enforcement Officers, and Law Abiding Citizens to buy and transfer firearms in the most cost effective manner in South Texas.
